The sales org is the engine of cash flow for any company. In technology sales, there tends to be a certain common organizational structure that occurs that is organized around both size of target and geography. The structure is usually as follows based upon my experience:
- Local – Local businesses typically with less than 10 locations
- Franchise – National or regional businesses that are franchisees
- Mid market – Businesses with more than 10 locations
- National – Businesses that are franchisors
